Dwindling Benefits :-(

When I first started using the service, it was great. The Dominos delivery fee was waived and Drugstore.com orders had free 2-day shipping with no minimum purchase. Those were the 2 reasons I primarily used ShopRunner. Initially I paid for the service, but eventually my AMEX account qualified me for no annual ShopRunner fees.

The product must not have worked out for merchants, as over they years they’ve whittled away at the benefits. Dominos pulled out and Drugstore.com now requires a $25 minimum purchase for ShopRunner to kick-in. My health has benefited from Dominos exiting, as I don’t care for the delivery fee so I stopped fattening up after they departed. I wish Drugstore.com had been more accommodating (free standard shipping under $25, free 2-day shipping over $25).

If ShopRunner involved a subscription fee, I wouldn’t keep my membership. Amazon Prime is the way to go :-)
